Dear valuable members,

Malaysian Diabetes Educators Society (MDES) invites applications for the MDES Conference 2026 Sponsorship. This  sponsorship aims to support selected members by providing complimentary registration to attend the 3 full days of the MDES Conference 2026.

We strongly encourage members who are passionate about contributing to diabetes education and community service to apply.

Eligibility
The Sponsorship is open to:
1. Open to active MDES members or new members who have completed at least six (6) months of membership at the time of application.
Applicants must be Malaysian citizens.
2. The sponsorship is a one-off award, applicable to conference registration fees only.
3. A total of eight (8) recipients will be selected by the MDES Executive Committee.
4. Members who have already registered for the conference are still eligible to apply. Successful applicants will be reimbursed
accordingly.

Application Requirements

Applicants are required to submit a written application including:
a) Previous contributions to MDES activities or diabetes-related community services (maximum 250 words)
b) Proposed contributions to MDES if selected (maximum 250 words)

Terms & Conditions

A) Successful applicants must attend all three (3) full days of the MDES Conference 2026.
B) Failure to fulfil full attendance without a valid justification may result in:
C) Disqualification from the sponsorship, and/or
D) Requirement to reimburse the full conference registration fee to MDES.
E) Recipients required to actively participate in MDES initiatives post-conference.
F) MDES reserves the right to review and make final decisions on all sponsorship matters.

Please note: Applicants are expected to demonstrate genuine commitment and accountability in their proposed contributions. Selected recipients may be required to actively participate in MDES initiatives and report their involvement in  future MDES projects. Priority will be given to applicants with a clear, realistic, and impactful plan for contribution.

Opening and Closing date of application

The Sponsorship is open for application on 01.04.2026, and the closing date is on 10.04.2026, 23:59 hours. Late submissions will not be considered.
