Dear MDES Members,

The UK Chevening Scholarship’s programme is now in its 34th year and has provided many of Malaysia’s future leaders with the opportunity to undertake post-graduate study in the UK.

Chevening scholarships are for one-year taught courses leading to a Masters qualification. The scholarship covers the full cost of tuition fees, a monthly living allowance, the return airfare and other sundry allowances. Chevening scholars may study at any UK university. The scholarships however, are not for undergraduate courses, PhD studies, professional courses or distance learning.

Successful applicants should be Malaysian citizens, fluent in English, holding a first degree, with the potential to become future leaders, decision makers and opinion formers in Malaysia. Ideally applicants will have a minimum of 2 years professional experience.
